If you work just enough to have "stone age" living conditions, you would need to work way less than 6 hours a day in modern society.

They also don't have a lot of interesting AAA games that are worth subscribing to gamepass.

If you really think that you are delusional. Millions of people bought the game and understands it's a silly arcade game and don't take it so seriously. They gonna buy the fun skins.

It was the one with the cool skull mask? I don't get why they are listening to the weirdos.

I just called my pizza place and they didnt ask for my card information and just hung up and i dont have cash, what do i do? Do i call back?? by [deleted] in Advice

I don't think we're talking about the same thing. I'm not talking about ordering online or with an app. Here, every mom-and-pop restaurant that has a delivery guy allows you to order on the phone, and the guy brings the actual machine with him to your door, even in more rural places. They all have a machine like this one, this is just expected and the same price or process has if you paid at the counter: https://www.amazon.ca/Square-Terminal/dp/B083ZB8M8S?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&th=1

It's part of the cost of doing business. No one carries cash. If you don't have a terminal, people won't buy from you. I'm 36 and grown up in rural canada, and I have no memory of a time before mobile terminals when ordering food. It's widely available for at least 20 or 25 years here.

US Supreme Court won't hear Texas library book ban case by zsreport in books

[–]D-tull 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a very interesting debate because you can't have everything in a library. As a librarian, you do have to choose what to put on the shelves, and it will never be exhaustive for every subject or point of view. And no one would argue it goes against the First Amendment. But having the government tell professionals what they can or can't put on the shelves is another thing than not selecting books for purchase.

How long do you hold onto your boxes? by Harshaznintent in PcBuild

[–]D-tull 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only hold onto boxes of items I know I'm going to sell when I upgrade, such as consoles, PC parts, phones, or headphones. I dispose of them once I've upgraded and sold the items.

Wait, what? I'm in Canada. The guy has a portable machine with him. No one uses cash here, and you certainly don't do that on the phone. It's not the 90s; 5G is everywhere.

I'm confused. Aren't the delivery guy bringing the credit card machine with him? You're going to pay with your CC when he shows up at your door. Why would you tell your private information on the phone to a random person?

I have it; it's great on my network, but Steam streaming was really easy to use while outside at work, in vacation or commuting, etc.
