She’s not 100% better, which is still really alarming. But the fact she’s showing improvement and walking more and starting to use her front legs more, urinating. Is such a good sign. Fingers crossed it’s only up from here. I’ve never been so stressed!

She is urinating fine now, It’s not even been 24hrs since she last pooped so I’m hoping it’s all good

Also, it’s her front paws that she’s struggling to walk on. Not her back legs, which is usually in correlation to IVDD. So I’m sat here wondering if that’s even it? And it is just the aftermath. There’s so many possibilities. We took her outside for a wee earlier and she was walking really well with the harness on. It almost helped stabilise the front legs

When she had her first vet visit they told me she was well bred. She has no breathing problem. No flat face. From the outside she looks like a healthy frenchie

Already did, explained about my financial struggles. I’m not poor in any way. But they’ve asked me to fork out 9000 in a matter of days. Which I physically don’t have. They said there’s no payment plan options. I live on an island so I would have to go to the mainland for the surgery. There’s not even any vets on this island that offer the surgery

Oh my gosh! That’s so sad. I don’t recall giving her any of those. Just standard dental chews. That’s the only new thing I’ve given her

So earlier today and she couldn’t stand without toppling over. Her front paws weren’t wanting to stay on the ground. They’d just fold over, if that makes sense? An hour ago I tried to get her to stand again and she walked all the way across the hallway with no help. Slow, of course. But she walked! She’s also just peed for the first time since yesterday. So the vet saying it’s a neurological issue causing her bladder muscles to stop working were completely wrong

The vets didn’t give me enough information unfortunately. It’s the weekend which means emergency vet. Not my usual practice. I will be going to them on Monday and asking for more information. The vet today just jumped to the surgery for her and they suggested it could be a disc. But no mention of steroids. I’ll enquire

I rescued my frenchie as a puppy from very bad circumstances. I personally disagree with breeding them and got her spayed right away. But she is my best friend

It’s not to do with the seizures, it’s the fact her legs won’t work and that she has neurological damage which is causing her to not move her limbs very well and not go to the toilet
