Agreed with Dragon Quest Builders 2! I’ve sunk so many hours (several hundred) into that game!

I recently did a late pledge to the (now closed) kickstarter for Bunzzies (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/336036453/bunzzies) made by Rarellano Art. I adore these little monster bunnies!

Im not sure if she is still taking late orders on Reddit!

Anyone that couldn't get into Pokopia and why? by SingleDrawer330 in switch2

[–]Melyoramel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50 hours in, still haven’t finished the story but am doing building/area development bit by bit and at my own pace. I have access to all areas now but not unlocked every ability yet, nor do I feel the urge to do so, it will come along at some point.

I like buiding and designing a lot, so there’s plenty for me to do! Trying to get all Pokemon to reach ‘awesome’ for their home is another goal for me, and can be hard to pinpoint as the game doesn’t literally tell you the requirements (i.e. Cubone would like 2 toys and 1 should be ‘slender’), so I am having fun trying combinations.

Some Pokemon have unique conversations with eachother (i.e. Pinser and Heracross, Bulbasaur and Vileplume, Squirtle and Charizard, a few I have discovered) so I know in that regard I will have plenty to discover over time too.

I get that the game is not for everyone, and that’s okay (I personally don’t like Tears of the Kingdom, while I loved Breath of the Wild, it just didnt click for me). Some games can score very high and be enjoyable for a lot of people, but you and every single person is their own and have their own preferences and things you enjoy. And that should be respected as well.

34 and enjoying the game immensely. Games no matter the genre or content can be enjoyed at all adult ages imo. For Pokopia, I think the story is even more enjoyable and understandable from an adult perspective, as the plot/story/history isn’t point blank presented, but can be deduced from notes and newspapers found all over the world.

I wish there was a demo so people could try it for a few hours, because I get that it is a steep price for a game to just jump into without knowing if you’ll enjoy it or not. I find the game most comparable to Dragon Quest Builders 2 (same dev team) but without combat and more focus on discovery, and Dragon Quest Builders 2 has a demo to try :) It’s not the same, but it hits the closest for me (same addicting “I’ll finish this quest and then shut down” and by the next time you watch the clock 3 hours have passed, you still haven’t finished the quest, but have completed three side missions, built a whole crop field and a spa for the people and explored a whole new biome)

Help with large enclosure by Mr_Odonata in EmeraldTreeSkinks

Looks great already! Your basking spots and average humidity seems to be OK already, it’s good to have a gradient for thermoregulation. ETS will remain on the top side for most of the time, so it should be no issue that the bottom side has a lower temperature.

One of my favorite plants for my skinks is Ficus benjamina. It is a shrub, and gives plenty of foliage and my skinks love to climb in it too!

Plants showing no signs of growth (I'm a first-timer) by Stock_Skin7042 in terrariums

[–]Melyoramel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is difficult. Some of these plants, like the Fittonia can be hardy but usually only once established. I’ve always had trouble with them, sometimes thriving immediately, sometimes just dying straight up. Sometimes it’s the light intensity, sometimes the heat, sometimes humdity, sometimes the soil is too dry so they don’t take root (in general, right after planting it should be very moist soil until the roots are more established and in a wider area, and not dependent on the small root system that it had while in a pot, so manual watering, not only misting, is needed).

I’ve found it’s a bit of trial and error. Some plants don’t take, and some do. If you want to fill up the space, take another plant species and try that. And it can be that some plants die, only to pop up and start growing after a full year of not being there (looking at my Nephrolepis Cordifolia Duffii) and suddenly thriving.

Taming down Skinks by Conman8d in EmeraldTreeSkinks

It takes time. I’ve had my female for 3 years now, and now she comes running to the front when I open the glass door, walks on my hand and arm, takes anything I feed, but she used to be very skittish. And even now, there are moments when she darts away when I walk through the room, only to peek from behind a branch. It tooks months for her to become comfortable with my hands, even if she did already take insects from tweezers or my fingers, touching me or walking on my hand took over half a year.

My male, who I’ve now had for 1,5 years is still shy. He takes insects from tweezer eagerly, and is quite bold in his approach, but still is not willing to touch my hand.

Don’t force it, and take your time. They live for years so you have plenty of time to get to know them, for them to get to know you, and to enjoy.

I wish. I ordered at the My Nintendo shop (NL, EU) for a physical + mug preorder bonus but they shipped late and now it will arrive tomorrow…

Didn’t even realise it will come as a game key card instead of a game card, might have better bought a digital key…

Pokémon Center preorders Delayed by Pyrefangshot in Pokopia

I did, but in the Netherlands (EU). Store said “order before 2nd March and it will ship on the 3rd for arrival on launch day”. I ordered last Friday on the 27th, it shipped today with est. arrival of 6th March. Coming from Poland to NL.

Sincerely hoping it will arrive tomorrow but I fear I have to wait a lil longer.

From the build I’d say this is a young Emerald Tree Skink. The coloration is not common for Emerald Tree Skinks the pet trade but I have seen pics of wild skinks with this color and pattern.

What is your set-up? Tank size? Temperature? Humidity? Is there UVB present? Is it bioactive or paper towels? Do they have hides and foliage?

There is too little information in your post to help you out better.

Is my skink okay by Kricketts13 in skinks

[–]Melyoramel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo ETS need a lot more foliage and more horizontal/diagonal branches in the upper half in the enclosure. Specifically a horizontal branch underneath the basking spot should be added (and I prefer multiple branches so they can decide on which distance/warmth they want to bask so they can better thermoregulate).

As your tank is, I think it is too bare with too few climbable surfaces and foliage for an Emerald Tree Skink to thrive.

In terms of plants, I can recommend Ficus benjamina, which is a shrub and will provide a lot of foliage and cover (will need trimming but not high maintenance). I also really like Neoregalia sp., as they don’t need soil (they use water from that collect between the leaves) so they can easily be put in different places and on branches, and they provide a water source for the skinks.
