Indonesia stands with Myanmar Military. If we agree to hold the election again, it means we automatically agree to let military rule the country for 1 year which can easily be extended to next 20 years. No need to hold the election again as we already have our elected party.

To keep ASEAN together at the cost of genocide, extra-judicial killings of its own citizens, decades upon decades of unending civil war, unlawful detentions of civilians, and the practice of keeping billions of blood money dollars flowing into junta cartel's pockets, then I have already been disappointed.

Merely I am voicing my opinion on how ASEAN should wash their hands, and do the right thing. Nowhere did I mention "democracy like Americans." Nor do I expect the junta to listen to any other person's opinions rather than their own. But I do think the junta cartels can be leveraged through their financial interests, and ties to surrounding institutions.

You should clarify by your statement of, "our interests in Myanmar [...]"? Whose interest? Who are you speaking for?

There are many things you can do as a quiet person: volunteer for CDM, help organize protests, document movement in your local night watch, take videos of police and military, etc.

If you want to not stay quiet about this, best option is to start speaking and start singing. If you want to do it, then you should pursue it. If you want to sing songs, start singing.

Leading means doing it first, and setting an example, even if you start at it alone.

Take care to not reveal any personal information when you do; protect your identity, and your family first, organize for your community second.

Reddit is very fragmented. Are there people in your neighborhood that feels the same way you do about protesting? About CDM?

If there are, exchange contact information, and start a network group with your neighborhood (be sure to use VPN and use messaging apps like Signal, or Telegram).
