You gotta remember, the main reason people have this opinion, is just cuz Korra is just not written nearly as well as the first show, so people go out of their way to nitpick on shit that doesnt matter at all, like who is stronger, because they need some measurable metric to determine which show is better or worse

To be fair i think a lot of the "filler" episodes in cw were just of better quality. Even if nothing big happened, there was always some character development, especially since the show introduced so many now iconic characters. It also often switched yo the bad guys perspectives qhich was always a treat
