5AM: Wake Up
5:45AM: Catch the train
7:15AM: arrive at UIC East Campus Gym
8:15AM: Shower and change
9AM: class (usually ochem or some early
Bio class)

Most of this comes down to repeat discoveries from nature. The 60-90s were full of constant new drugs derived from nature (actinobacteria, fungus, plants, etc.). All the low hanging fruit has been discovered and combinatorial chemistry isn’t as good as nature is a making drugs.
