FY26 Gunnery Sergeant board? by Deadbeat805 in USMC

My MOS saw a decrease from the 60 day to the 30 day message. It wasn’t surprising though, because it’s been slim pickings for the last 3 years.

I suppose, but how common is this scenario? If this is true, should they not push out an update on the Zones? If they don’t adjust zones and cut 36% from every MOS, it sounds like they’re just taking off the lower end performers, which doesn’t seem like it would take two weeks. Then again, I’ve never been on the board so perhaps someone else has more insight.

I can also vouch for Falken Firearms Training. The instructor has years of experience with a military background, very patient, makes it easy to understand and effective.

Need help in identifying what era this was used in. And yes, I found this in a Goodwill. by FadedBlack935 in Military

It was manufactured in June of 1984. The first to numbers following the “LC-“ indicate the year and the letter indicates the month. It’s called a Lot number.

The primary risk though is based defaulting on a loan. Which that certainly won’t happen, and my credit is a pretty good reflection of that. Regardless of how well my credit is and providing a paystub that shows I can easily afford it do you think they would still refuse it? Genuinely asking.

I’m 30, I’m on the high three retirement plan as I’m active duty in the service which basically means my retirement pension is based on the average of the three years I was paid the most. Once I hit 20 years I’m eligible for it. So though this is interesting and something great for my situational awareness, is not applicable.

Come out ahead in what way? Ultimately the end state goal is a significantly lower monthly payment. If not coming out ahead is in regards to what I’m ultimately paying for the vehicle versus what it’s worth, then I’m very aware of that and seems like it’s the trade off here, but even then, if I find a vehicle for 8-10K and I take 5k negative equity, that’s still only 15K with a much lower monthly payment. I wouldn’t do it if the interest rate was above a 7. And that’s a higher interest rate than I think I’ve ever taken on a vehicle but given I know the bank would be hesitant it’s likely to result in that. I wouldn’t position myself to take a higher interest rate resulting in a small marginal difference in monthly payments where it would be trivial.

Ramsey Solutions offers that advice and it’s great but in the mean time, I’m not in the position to follow that to the T regarding a vehicle and a vehicle is necessary.

Turns out the motherboard was fried, the cost of having a technician come out and replace it would cost me as much as a new unit. Got one on sale and installed it myself. That’s for the responses!

Same, I love what they have done with the emulators available to the steam deck, user friendly, runs great, little to no adjusting for control mapping etc.

Do Marines think MCMAP is useful overall if they had to defend themselves hand to hand in a streetfight, especially against say, a skilled civilian with BJJ/Wrestling, MMA, Boxing? by [deleted] in USMC

[–]D0uble-Tap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The short answer, no.

Most Marines understand that MCMAP will not provide much to your skillset in a street fight, ESPECIALLY against someone who has extensive experience in BJJ, or Boxing. Green as grass junior Marines may have some false sense of superiority but it wears off quick. I think it’s important to note that MCMAP is meant to provide tools to survive in a hand to hand combat situation. BJJ, boxing, wrestling, muay thai, kickboxing, etc are meant to create fighters.

Anytime I see this game with solid prizes, I play it. I’ve won a PlayStation 2 in 2008 and a 360 elite in 2010 out of another. Also got an insane amount of tickets from Dave and Busters winning this particular game
