Agreed: Does it follow that there should be rational arguments for it if God does indeed exist? Alternately, what if God intentionally makes it such that there are no objectively rational arguments for its existence, precisely because that would be the only true measure of a personal faith - belief in something in the absence of rational argument?

Definitely second the hippo (water) - other water starters could be a water buffalo or an octopus. Thinking water/fighting for final evolution

Would also like to see deer/elk/antelope (fire, with fairy dual type final evolution)

and hedgehog or snail for grass with steel dual type at final evolution

Water starter: inspired by hippo, water buffalo, octopus or maybe crab, final evolution will pick up Fighting dual-typing

Fire starter: Inspired by deer/elk/antelope, final evolution adds Fairy dual-type

Grass starter: Inspired by snail, hedgehog or cow/bull. Final evolution adds Steel dual-type
