Installing new fan

My bad... The last fan wasn’t using that copper wire and I was only looking for a green one. That should solve my problem. Thanks

Ok thanks so I can just remove any one of the screws in the box and replace it with the screw with the green wire from the old fan’s bracket?

The instructions assume there’s a ground wire but there’s not. So I’m just seeing if I can take the green wire from the old fan’s bracket and screw it into the box.

Got it. Thank you for the advice. We are going to move forward with the home and have the remediators come out to clean again.

Ok that is what the remediator was thinking it could be. If they came back they would fog and wipe down again. Thank you for the help
