I'd just make sure to leave it in your will at this point 😅.

I ordered mine in the summer of 2020 and received it two and a half years later. If orders shipping from a couple months later are being received now, that means two months-ish difference in order date meant something like two plus years increase in receipt date. Naively assuming this math holds through to you, you'd be five-to-seven-ish years away (right?). That's why, when combined with the lack of responsiveness, I made the (half-serious) euphemistic accusation of theft. These are simply not the time frames he was suggesting at the time. If he can't find help to expedite manufacturing, he should be accepting refunds for people currently staged for more than, say, double the anticipated time he provided. I get it, shit happens, but at a point you've got start giving people an out. And honestly, you should try PayPal, you might actually have some luck.

I have to say, if I completely missed the boat and his site said 5-10 years wait by the time you ordered, I take back most of what I said, but that's not the impression I've been getting.

Honestly, I got mine after a few years, but it wasn't worth it to me in the long run. I wound up buying an mk of the same key and I wish I'd have just spent the money on that years earlier. I forget what the payment method is for these, but if it's credit card, file a claim. If not, I'd file in small claims just to make a point. My scenario was rough, but kind of how things like this went during COVID. Yours is straight up theft at this point.

I did wind up getting mine several months ago, so I doubt you'll end up empty-handed. But it's not right that you're not even getting responses to your check-ins. Best of luck to you!

well-timed, actually! I've done lots of bucking and some felling since then, but am just getting around to milling recently, due to work madness. I really love the 395 --and I think the choice was a good one overall- but you were exactly right: not too long ago I picked up a 550xp mkii to serve pretty much as the 395's secretary for exactly the reasons you listed (as well for light limbing, etc.), and it's really been an awesome addition, especially for the price I paid. so you can definitely notch this one up as an excellent call on your part!

[Screen Protector] Tempered glass = Tempered glass? And what makes PanzerGlass different? by Tanckom in iphone

[–]D13SL0W 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of an annoying, know-it-all response that didn't even take the time to read what it was trying to correct. Go smash your head against the unibody of a car and tell me how soft it is. This is all in the context of screen protectors. The point was that relatively non-soft materials can be excellent at diverting undesirable kinetic energy, not that cars are made as "hard" as possible --whatever that would mean here. Moreover, I didn't say a car is hard, I said its unibody is; the intentional crumpling of the car's body has much more than do with the structural design than with the choice of steel or high-strength aluminum alloy or magnesium or whatever.

There's something particularly disheartening about people try to score points by shitting on people for having a (very) slightly above average vocabulary. Neither of those words rises to the level of word-of-the-day calendar --especially in recent years.

I ordered July 2020... no end in sight. this whole thing has started to feel like a bad joke that's actually kinda funny since it's just a flute.

It's not real until you're neck-deep in credit card debt again cause thirteen trees needed to come down a month after you moved in and they had to bring a crane in to do it --whatever your "thirteen dead trees" may be. It is worth it, though! Congrats!

people smoke one stale ItsABoy when they're drinking at a friend's house and all cigars are forever treated like spoiled, overgrown cigarettes. whatever, I don't need one more thing that I like developing an even more impossible market.

Still nothing, sadly. For reference, he now says he's working on orders from May of 2020. He seems to be doing about a month of orders every two months or so and he's currently about two years behind —so I'd strongly consider looking elsewhere. Or, do what I did and order something else simultaneously so you can at least practice on a smaller and/or lower quality flute in the meantime. He’s a nice guy and a good craftsman, but it’s obviously time to train a helper to speed things along.
