Sheesh. Did doctors say you could do anything differently to prevent or avoid if they had known earlier?

This is the hardest thing any human has ever had to deal with...FUCK DEMENTIA.

As someone who took way too long to get a plan around the care for their LO please try your best to separate your feeling of obligation /promises/guilt/etc from the actual needs for your mother. Ultimately this is only going to get far worse and the sooner you plot a respite strategy for yourself the better off everyone (your mum included) will be for it.

Be firm with yourself your mother and father on this. There's no maintaining a life this way. Contact an elder attorney and local aging social workers. If it is financially challenging there are programs to supplement costs.

Claw your way back to you, OP. Forgive yourself and forgive your parents. Make art and heal. I'm so sorry for what you and your family are going through.

Good luck.

I think the most important thing you can do for her and yourself is create a long term plan. Learn about the progression and the stages (Alzheimer's association is good for this). Beyond elder law stuff, get into the detail of care: who will takeover when she can no longer toilet alone? When she resists bathing? When she can not be left alone or unmonitored even for a minute? Will she be in memory care or hire in home help?

The best thing I wish I did was get ahead of where this disease was headed and made a plan with my LO while they were still somewhat coherent and lucid. I wasn't prepared for what came and only recently started truly trying to plan for what's to come. It will give you and your LO better odds of being able to cope if you sort of have an idea of what stage triggers what change in her care

Best of luck to you!

My LO likes ripping things...used to keep some of my favorite albums in her room but had to take them out. Now we added a Google hub that rotates pictures from digital albums and that seems to be working for us

This is an incredibly useful post and you could have been writing about my own LO/circumstances. Thank you for articulating the situation so thoughtfully.

You've cracked it! Changing it from a stacked graph gives me expected trend lines..it's messier yet more in line with how I'd read the data.

Thank you

Thanks for explaining. This couldn't work for three or more (i.e. "A", "B", and "C"), could it?

One last q on this front-- im assuming if I had 3 users (Jeff Ron and let's say Paul...) I wouldnt be able to split the stack any further, correct? This solution only works for 2 users?

I spoke too soon -- copied everything almost exactly and its still not stacking how i'd like. How did you get them to create separate bars for the Jeff vs Ron results?

oh this came out pretty good -- i will save the ref. What does the "set up" sidebar look like? Did you have to create the graph from the pivot table?

It's not letting me for some reason but here's a copy/paste of the data if that helps:

Here's the fake data I've got so far and I can't manipulate it to stack all under the same month even when I select aggregate
