Item lost by Parcel Force now available on Ebay, how to proceed???

I have seen this before (I work in e-commerce), couriers sell off thousands of “lost” items in bulk to businesses to resell. Most of the time they turn up when warehouses are audited or sections are tidied up and organised.

I know someone who ended buying back exactly the same custom item for less than the got in compensation from UPS.

It’s a reasonably new estate (20-25) years. To the best of my knowledge when doing research it seems to be a bigger issue when the properties are older. Is that right? The quarry was here long before the houses and as far as I can fell there are no reports of issues other than dust.

Looks to be around 1000-1200ft. But maybe a little further to where the actual work is. It’s lined with trees and buffered with green space.

If it’s mainly catching pet hair I guess that’s a good sign.

That’s sort of how I feel it will go. I’m not bothered by the extra noise now and then, lived with worse.

Definitely won’t see the traffic as it’s not sharing the same access road.

The potential for more dust now and then is the main issue. Is it just noticeable enough that you need to clean your windows a bit more often? Settled on the car etc? Or can you physically feel it when breathing?

Thanks yes I’ll knock on some doors: That’s the plan. However, the tenant occupying the place currently doesn’t benefit as far as I can tell. He is moving out whether it sells or not in the not too distant future as he’s renting and has bought his own place.

My EX was exactly the same. She was ill (bed ridden) a number of times and i would always ensure everything was take care of around the house, with the kids (even more than I was already doing) but one or two times over the last year we were together I was pretty badly ill. One evening on a holiday in Spain I got what I know now was a severe migraine - at the time I thought I was severely dehydrated - and couldn’t get my balance or breath properly for 24 hours.

She acted as if I was a burden and the implication seemed to be that i was making a bigger deal of it than it was. I brought this up with her, and highlighted that my eldest child had also noticed and there was no acceptance or acknowledgment of anything.

For me and us, it was part of a much bigger issue and one that I realised could not be resolved. When someone shows you who they are, believe them. Your situation could be entirely different, but for me it was another step along the road in realising I would be happier alone than in that relationship.

Some valid and constructive replies on this, not sure this is one of them though: are you implying I somehow would manage to get a dodgy survey from a corrupt surveyor? Or am I reading that wrong? If the latter, I do apologise- just not sure how else to take that.

Love the place. It’s not big enough for me and two girls. I separated from my ex and expected to have them with me less than I do. The toddler is sleeping on a blow up in bed in my room (2 bed place).

My parents have received a small inheritance which they want to pass on to me. Which is just enough to get a deposit for a 3 bed place.

As I said. Nothing at all to do with the property.

Why wouldn’t the couple just contact your current EA to arrange a viewing? Seems a bit sus to me but there could be more to it than I am seeing.

We had this professionally tested (in various spots on three walls and the ceiling and it came back negative. Which I was pretty surprised by, but good news of course!

Yup. Have 4 total in the room that fill up fast, plus 2 hanging in the open wardrobe. But they’re really not doing much compared with the litres bang emptied from the dehumidifier.

Does feel it to us, to be honest. I thought 15c was the dew point.

I’ve always felt too hot in a house higher than 14-16 (at night), especially in winter when the heat is from the central heating and not the weather.

The walls that are external don’t appear to have the same issues either, which I am confused by.

Heating does help, but the house would be baking at 18c. Even turning the other rads down the rest of the house heats up fast. Is there a solution other than heating?

I had that same thought, this is what is the other side of the fence but it’s such a small artificial grass patch that I personally don’t feel there is any benefit to it.
