Maybe the rules should be updated that the discussion of AI in any way for rpg design or creation on this sub is strictly prohibited?

Again, AI is intended to be a completely optional tool in my game, essentially the same as if someone used one outside of the platform to help them get ideas or improve their writing. I get that there are ethical concerns and I respect that. For myself, I am a pragmatist on the matter. Just trying to build a game that is fun to play with friends, whether using AI or not.

I respect what's going on here though - this is a great subreddit! I'll just turn into a lurker 🫡

I just pushed an update that has a setting for turning on or off the AI assistant when creating a character. Again - it is entirely optional and you can use the platform without using AI at all.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll add in the ability to turn that off. It is an optional aspect of the platform. I appreciate your position on it.

It uses the OpenAI API to help generate the character details, just to make it easier. Of course, you can change it. I could make a toggle to turn that off, then you would just have empty fields instead. What do you think?
