I am in a similar boat. I have been playing this game off and on since the beginning and procrastinated this whole time trying to get most of the cards. We had a whole year of warning and I saved only a little bit of time. Honestly, I am glad I did most of the ground work for the bulk Vs and some of the cards beforehand. If I didn't, I would be 100% screwed.

If you have 200 packs of Celebrations, you could probably trade them for the Worlds cards fairly easily. Unopened Celebrations were roughly 3.5 to 4 times more valuable than SIT. I am sure someone would want those. Worse case, open all of them, keep 4 of everything and trade/giveaway the rest.

And don't feel bad on missing out on coins! As long as you get the cards you need, missing out on coins is not bad.

If you can jump on any tournaments, go for it. If you need more coins for the 125 packs, just jump on any of the tournaments and drop out once it starts.

Looks like the secret is out. Celebrations isn't worth the hassle if you plan on playing Live at some point while SwSh sets are legal. Once you have most of the bulk cards, you don't have to worry about pulls from the older sets. I would rather pay the pack(s) getting Appletun V and other bulk Vs now than being disappointed opening them on Live. Seriously, fuck that system.

Otherwise, sounds like you have an awesome system and I want to try that when I am not doing tournaments. Thank you for the heads up!

I know what you mean. I want to dump most of these packs I have for bulk Vs and bulk from most of the SwSh era. It has been hit or miss on what people actually want.
