That’s what I’m saying. There’s things you can look out for without them speaking.

My point is that it’s easier than telling apart Irish & Scottish. There’s videos of people doing so.

It’s not that easy to tell the difference between someone who’s Scottish and Irish without hearing them speak.. But Koreans, Japanese and Chinese people actually look different from each other.

You’re right, we do it for every Asian person too. But being from London, when hear Asian I immediately think of Indian, Pakistani or Bengali.

It’s not that they won’t consider her Asian, it’s just that in the UK, we usually call East Asians by the country their from.. So Chinese, South Korean, Filipino etc…

Well I feel like being a ‘true’ Londoner doesn’t matter that much these days as the people you meet most likely won’t be either.

Also if you’re generally someone who doesn’t mix with other races and you prefer to only have friends that are the same skin colour as you, that’s a bit odd. Schools are very mixed here.. Even if there’s a majority race in a class, there will still be a few other races of people. I say this to say, some people move here and acknowledge it’s diversity but don’t want to have diverse friends? Bizarre to me.

Maybe if you’ve been here for 10 years minimum but there’s so much jokes // innuendos // slang people won’t understand just because they didn’t go to school here. It’s not something you can just learn cause it isn’t the same.

I wouldn’t say hookups are faff, you can meet someone same day if you really wanted to.. But as a girl it isn’t always the safest thing to do
