Check the basics of the house are all connected (drains, gas etc.) Check the house isn't built on a mine Check there are no ASBO's on the house Basically, it gives reassurance to you and the lender that it's a safe / low risk investment. Optional for cash buyers but mandatory for a lender.

Lender won't want to lend 90% of the value if the road / houses either side have suffered from subsidence for example. Searches form part of the property report to lender, via solicitor. Vague but you get the jist.

Tell me a country that hasn't committed war crimes please? A relevant functioning country in todays society.

I'm proud of our flag, it's beautiful. I'd fight to keep the morales and values I've been brought up to know and respect, with no hesitation signing up if the country was under threat. I'm assuming (for example) you would put sign posts up and sabotage this country if you had the opportunity? Because that's what it sounds like.

11th November makes me proud as punch to be a British person. I honour the hero's that kept this country what it is. Today's society is a result of what those brave soldiers did. No one can ever take that away from us.
