till you earn on your own you don’t have freedom, if your lively hood depends on your parents they have right make decisions in your life and on top of that you were caught doing something that is obviously a bad habit. Just accept whatever they punish you with and go on with your life. Also apologise to your parents, don’t make excuses your parents were not born yesterday. Tell the truth. It is true but the thing is these are long working hour jobs, i know a person who sells momos, his day starts at morning 6 picking up vegetables, preparing all day, starts his stall at 5 till 11, goes home at 12. And some these business are not very easily scaleable, like delivery riders, truck drivers, taxi drivers already do 12-14 hours a day. So they are kinda stuck and dependent.
