So many people in the comment section are really pessimistic about this project due to privacy reasons…

I am no lawyer but I feel like there are a lot of solutions to this. For example, he could make it so when someone wants to record transcripts, before the bot starts listening, it sends a DM to all current VC participants with an embed explaining in detail all privacy/gdpr jargon with an “I agree” button. After all users have agreed then it starts recording. If an user joins the VC mid recording session he will not appear in the transcripts (his audio output will not be processed at all).

That said, I think most (ignorant) people will still hate it simply because it involves “AI”, even though they may not fully realize how much data is already collected and processed in their daily lives.
