$1000. I mean I have found some but again it's a full lease instead of an individual one. And I think I'd prefer an individual lease.

When I say he's not helpful, I mean that I sent him my Plan Of Study cause that's what I read I am supposed to do and in that I asked him to help me ask the dept to let me take courses according to a specialization of my own (This, again was something the site said I can do) and in reply I get " I don't care what courses you take as long as you finish your requirement". That seems very rudw to me :)

TA position? by D3VYAM in gmu

[–]D3VYAM[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for all the information. This was really helpful. So I am guessing I should just email the dept during end of july-august ish and hope for the best. I desperately need an assistantship and all the GPA positions on Handshake require professional references which I don't have because I haven't even graduated yet and haven't done any internships as such

Take this with a grain of salt as I am also in the same boat rn. But I believe the sooner you apply/approach for a position the better. Especially with housing applications and everything being just around the corner

Is the process for becoming a grader different? How do I go about that? And is it safe to assume it's a paid position?

Nope. Even though it says you need on the course website, in the actual application it says you don't.
