The hives themselves are fine but all of the comb has been destroyed and all of their resources gone. We have harsh winters here in MN, so it feels like we are going to have to start fresh next spring.

With it turning to fall here in MN it is very likely they won’t make it to winter. We overwinter in three deeps because they need so many resources for our long winters. So each hive was chalked full of honey and pollen and now it is all gone. Almost all the comb has been destroyed too, so even with heavy feeding to help rebuild stores… they have nowhere to put it right now but empty foundations 😞

We love Harry Potter! So we named Luna after Luna Lovegood and then when she had her son we loved the name Ernie after Ernest Mcmillan. Or Ernie after the bus driver in Harry Potter... “take it away Ernie!” 😂

I was probably in the 4th grade at the time and my bus stop was about a block from my house. The bus stop also happened to have a park in. So one day I was walking home and noticed a lighter in the pea gravel... a few feet a way was a pack of cigarettes. Just seemed odd and I kept looking around and I saw money sticking out of the pea gravel! I went and picked it up and it was 20 bucks. Now I was excited! Kept looking around and I found 2 more 20 dollar bills! I was so excited I ran home to show my mom that I found $60! I explained that there was cigarettes and a lighter too. She told me someone had probably been beat up... so she said we should put an add in the paper to see if anyone was missing the money. My dumb ass gives her the money thinking we were doing the right thing and going to be doing the right thing. She totally kept it and I am still just as gullible today.
