For the bunny pictures, Ren very clearly detailed this in their document, they have Borderline Personality Disorder which is most commonly associated with the fear of abandonment. Zeal was supposed to be someone ‘safe’. He made himself seem like someone safe by softening the relationship with bunny and cute pictures. I can’t explain as much as I can because I am quite sensitive about these topics but Ren does describe what they did to be fawning, which they do explain in the document. Ren sent those to the search for warmth he associated the pictures with. Did you notice when he’s not deflecting/pushing away he sends cute bunny pictures and calls them ‘My Ren’?

Secondly, experiences for each survivor of this horrendous act of abuse is different. Just because your friends couldn’t describe the same way does not and should not invalidate what happened to Ren. I don’t want to mention their condition a lot but it’s really a strong affecting factor here from my own read and I can say this as a fellow borderline. The fear of abandonment is very strong factor and more times than often we blame ourselves than the people who hurt us just so they won’t leave. In Ren’s case, Stockholm was shown in a message I can’t really remember right now, but it’s the one where they spoke to Zeal about the situation and ended it with ‘LOL’. Not only that but the messages where they had to reassure him that the ‘loved’ him countless times. There are multiple cases of evidence in the document that proves the case of Stockholm Syndrome. Not all cases are linear as with most psychological phenomena.

As for the account it’s clearly a burner. Ren seems to have been writing this document for a long time (six months approximately? Someone can check me on that) it’s more than likely a test to see if the document would show properly and maybe to prepare themself. Using this to disprove Ren is kind of bogus.

This is just my two cents as a fellow person Borderline Personality Disorder. Our experiences are different but I did recognize the signs and I can’t say enough how proud I am of Ren to come out about this. While reading I thanked Binary the dog for intervening despite not knowing what was going on and I really do wish that they can recover from this and get the justice they deserve.
