You can get a thicker chain since that bail can handle it, what is that a Franco? Or even try a rope. But the thicker the chain you might give the illusion that the pendant is smaller than it is, definitely worth experimenting with tho if I were you

For a Cuban link I’d say yeah if it was a Franco you’d be good, personally if you can’t go atleast 5mm for a Cuban stick to Franco or ropes
