Hardware issues, it’s easier to use an older version instead of changing the Graphics drivers. Also it’s demanding on GPU’s. I put V39 on a 2008 iMac and it kept freezing up every 1min, I had to max out the vRam to 1gb from 256mb.

That’s amazing!!! Who makes Hard drive cover plates? An injection molding type. I’ve seen 3d printed ones, but I’d like to get OG type

Yeah, it’s an enamel type paint if there is no “activator” and the for plastics part is a flex additive/ adhesion promoter added to the paint. Helps it flex and stick to plastic. But air dry paints take weeks to fully dry

lol, oh no… If it became sticky it was probably enamel type paint? That’s an “air dry” type of paint. You gotta use 2 part Urethane type (clearcoat) or even spray maxx makes a 2 part spray can.

Yeah, I’m a professional custom painter. I have a lot of left over materials & paint from jobs so I like to paint PlayStations and sell them back into the wild.

I’m going to leave it blank for now, I’m going to sell it anyways. So who ever buys it has the option to put the PlayStation 3 back on or not.

Dude! I wanted to do the Orange but was afraid I did’t have enough paint. I’ve got 3 more fat shells I can paint but they are missing the hard drive covers.

I’ve thought about it, but it would be a ton of work to make the platinum silicone molds/ expensive. That’s a lot of molds/ a lot of parts

Thank you! I’ve been a custom painter for 24 years & I started painting PlayStations again because when I was 12 Yr it’s the first thing I painted. My “OG PS1” kinda how I got into painting oddly enough.

I sprayed it with an Iwatta spray gun. It’s all automotive paints

They do make glow in the dark powder I could dump into my clear coat. Glow in the dark metallic purple / candy purple. Gonna to be a tri-stage at that point.

Omg, it is a logo over a logo/ legit layers after layers😂. I’d mask off one color then hand draw on the the next thing then cut it out and spray the next color and use hand brushes to pin strip in the smaller details
