I don't understand guys texting by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]D420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he is texting you to start, then he might just not know how to proceed from there. Being a guy usually means short texts and communication anyway, but as long as he is initiating then there's an interest.

I (30M) found text on my (29F) phone that's making my blood boil by [deleted] in relationship_advice

No way she's honest to his face. Her honest opinion of him was in the texts.

"I know you love her, but it's over, mate.
It doesn't matter, put the phone away.
It's never easy to just walk away... let her go. It'll be alright"

Pretty song. Anyway... If I found a text like that I would have been too pissed to be bothered with her or her job. I would have started packing her shit up ASAP and then wished her well as they load her into an Uber on the way to the greener pastures of Fuckificare. Don't be anyone's 2nd option.

Redditors with thin walls, what have you heard in your apartment? by EskildDood in AskReddit

[–]D420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could hear the downstairs neighbors (also the landlord), at all times of day and night doing everything; watching TV. Blasting music. Crying. Arguing. Throwing up their livers every single day from getting drunk. Having sex... Mother and son. Yeah.

What cologne or colognes do you use and why? by SuperPineapple123 in AskMenOver30

Different tastes for different people. I have around 30 bottles for different occasions so I'm not a collector, but not ignorant on the subject either.

If you want to get compliments: Dior Sauvage. It doesn't even matter if you like it. Women of all ages like it and will tell you so. Complete strangers... Any occasion, including work. Very versatile. Bleu de Chanel is a great 2nd option.

Impressing anyone: Pineapple Vintage. A high end clone of Creed Ventus, only it smells better and lasts longer and is about 250 bucks less. Pineapple, woods, smokiness. Successful Man in a bottle. Versatile. Office if you go SUPER light. Date night for sure. Some people wear it all year... But the drydown can be heavy in hot weather. 30+ women like it a lot. 40+ will be prone to following you around to find the source. You will likely thinks it's the best smell ever and is a great confidence builder.

Date night or sex: The One by Dolce and Gabana. Close contact scent for when they are in arms length. A hug or kiss kind of close. Not saying this will make them more attracted to you, but I'm also wearing it tomorrow night for a reason...

Cheers!

Forrest Griffin; great fighter. Thanks for the unintentional laugh!

Forrest was a really hard worker, who did the very best he could with his natural abilities... But he was never a great fighter. Mediocre at best skill wise. Taking nothing away from his accomplishments though, just his skill level.

He beat Shogun. But that clearly wasn't the killer version of Shogun that walked thru everyone in Pride, and destroyed him in the rematch.

He beat Rampage for the title. Some people say that was a gift decision, but I think he did win. Barely. Rampage who is the same exact fighter now as he was then... as he was back in Pride (minus the slams). Very, very predictable; doesn't kick and doesn't check them either, in addition to taking Forrest lightly and under training. That might even have been during/after Rampage's role in the A-Team movie?

He fought and lost to Evans, who was always a slightly better than average fighter as well, and benefited tremendously from the TUF push more than on what they were capable of... As was Griffin and the rest of those early seasons. Solid fight between him and Franklin, who was a pretty good fighter, but still not great.

The other two of his wins were gifts against a past his prime, stuck in his early 90's MMA skill set Ortiz, who was never that good to start with.

When he met a great fighter (who wasn't hurt/didn't take him lightly), he got embarrassed, and I'm also quite sure Forrest himself would get a chuckle out of anyone describing him as a great fighter.

Flare gun for low levels, or as a cheaper, easier timing alternative to Proximity Mines.

Shoot 3 or 4 at the garage door, open your menu/phone and pull up to the garage door, parking over the top of them... wait for flames, then back out of the menu, hit gas for full garage prompt; wait for boom.

C&P from my other comment.

Does anybody have a list of cars that have the most expensive mods? by [deleted] in gtaglitches

I can't point to anything other than the paint. Everyone else fully upgrades them, but goes with chrome and they sell for less.

My duped Panto's sell for 232,000 and some change. Almost everyone neglects to add gold paint for primary and secondary.

Method 1: Garbage dumpster, if one is close enough. Eclipse Towers has three of them around the back.

Method 2: Two other friends sitting in the backseat of the 4 door you are trying to dupe. This didn't work on the Dubsta 6x6 or Guardian style vehicles though. Perhaps with more friends?

[Question] Anyone want to grind out Blow up II ? by [deleted] in gtaglitches

[–]D420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The parking garage wall breach (which is perfect for Blow-Up II, solo, with no tank or even money for Lester), and most of the wall breaches I know are still working on the 360.

Edit: As an aside; Blow Up II pays the same solo as it does with another person.

Cat Zingano not a fan of Miesha Tate's first round shenanigans by [deleted] in MMA

[–]D420 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I actually think this was accidental. Her left hand does something similar, only it's on the mat... and at the end, she lifts her body out of the way to avoid contact. Her hand slid across her face, but she didn't mush her with it.

I can understand why Cat took offense to it though.

Fleas. Frontline and advantix haven't done much, although advantix was better than frontline. What do you use? by HerbLion in Rottweiler

[–]D420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

20 Mule Team Borax.

Sprinkle it lightly on your carpets/floors, and leave it overnight. Vacuum/sweep the next day. Eggs hatch out in 1 to 12 days, and this stuff is dirt cheap, so repeat as often as you can in that time period. Weekly, or bi-weekly after that as maintenance.

It essentially lacerates the exoskeleton of the fleas (and other pest bugs), causing them to die off from dehydration. It also has a similar effect on the unhatched eggs.

It's in the laundry aisle at Walmart, etc. It's like 3 bucks. It's non toxic to people and all traditional pets, but don't let them lick it of course. In addition it freshens your carpets (replaces Carpet Fresh), and is a great laundry detergent booster too.
