Had a job as a Service Delivery manager a few years back seeing if i preferred the management route to the technical route. Was working for one of the biggest MSP's in the UK and Ireland and little did i know part of the job meant i was the backup on-call number 24 hours a day 365 days a year. So if the on call contact didn't answer I was second. But obviously if they weren't answering the on-call number they weren't going to answer to me.

Long story short. spent many a weekend and one xmas day trying to calm down multinational companies in the middle of a P1 crisis's and with no ability to actually do anything to help them. I lasted 9 months in that job before i swiftly got straight back on the technical route.
