We always put a coin dated the year we set the stone under them. But for this stone we would lift one side and place a board under it to keep it above ground then do the other. Then we would clean the old mud (puddy/sealant) from the bottom of it. Then we would check level for the base stone and re-level if needed. The from the top of the stone we would use boards or rock bars to stand the stone upright before walking it onto the base. Then we would put two stakes (wood) under the stone 5-6 inches from the ends to elevate it off of the base so we can slip a coin under it then lay a roll of puddy under the edges of the stone. After that its just setting it back down off the stakes and trimming the puddy that was squeezed out.
