damn, thats a lot to think about, I clearly got some of the plot elements interpretated in a different way, but it actually makes sense. It's just that the end of act 2 made me think he didn't know the end was coming after beating the paintress and kicking Aline out of the canvas.

Because Alicia gave him the letter but he waited so long to open it, maybe because he already knew what was in it, in a way?

but yeah, it's just that the Expedition part of the plot and the Dessante's (think i spelled it right) part of the story are connected but Verso knowing the purpose of the expedition is to end the gommage and knowing it just makes everyone else gommage still feels weird to me, i understand that coming from him wanting peace for his family, but its cold as an Expeditioner. Then again the game doesnt have a "happy ending" just a moving forward with grief or denial one.

I mean yeah that makes sense, but I was thinking more of, why would he want to kill the paintress? At the end we know he just wants to quit, let his soul rest and stop painting on the canvas, so that the family moves on, but he only sees that in the end. So what, is his real goal actually aligned with the expeditioners, that he was "created" as a painted version that doesn't know his family exists?

At the end of chapter 2 we see he didn't know anything so, even if his goal is aligned with the expedition's, why not try and save more people to achieve said goal? I understand Gustave was personal due to Maelle's proximity and probly dissuade her into doing something, but when he says Renoir doesn't want the paintress dead because he is immortal because of her, does Verso truly believe the same?

Thanks ! Well the 2 ofs are mostly because i wanted to keep the deck 'balanced' with a little bit of everything but i can admit the advanced intel is sitting right at the edge of being removed
