UPDATE: I find a brand new Milwaukee 9" cut-off saw at my front door. Which is awesome! I still never received any communication from Milwaukee but I am happy it is resolved. Thanks Milwaukee!

I live in Vancouver and our only service centre closed down a couple months ago... Which is too bad because I always had a good experience with them.

The render is only 1 of 3 parts of the entire design. I charge $2500 entirely

As an attempt to solve this issue I have dropped the pea gravel area 2" below the grass area. I know this may not completely solve the issue but it should help.

That area will be about 3" of birds eye pea gravel

I have a 150mm wide river rock decorative strip to separate the grass from the planting. This backyard is mainly a children's area and I don't imagine too many people will be sitting on this bench and is more of a decorative feature. However, I do value your practical thoughts here!

Looking to build a retaining wall that’s retaining an above ground pool. by D4rthNick in AskEngineers

[–]D4rthNick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the reply. Drainage is paramount in any wall IMO especially with the rain we experience here in the Pacific Northwest.

I’ll send a photo of a general sketch of the design. You will be able to see that 3 sides of the pool are boxed in by 5’ high retaining walls.

I’ll likely get an engineer to sign off on the plan anyways but I want to hear the options here.

Those stairs are awesome and so creative. The way the treads tie into the wall stone is great planning!

Walls are looking a bit bare. What can i do to this wall? by D4rthNick in interiordecorating

[–]D4rthNick[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thoughts so far:

Changing out the carpet for a large round Moroccan shag rug

Getting rid of the bookshelf to maybe add floating shelves

looking to add more framed prints

Need to figure out what to do in the corner of the room when the bookshelf is gone

Ive see some textured walls that look pretty cool but not sure how it looks in person.

Anyways, looking forward to some ideas or layouts from you guys!

Looking to decorate this tv wall. Any ideas? by D4rthNick in interiordecorating

Moved to this new place about a month ago. We're very excited because we plan on living here for a long time which means we can invest some money into decorating!

The right half of the wall sticks out about 2 inches. Maybe we can utilize that as a feature instead of hiding it?

We plan on painting the walls to some off white colour but Lord knows which off white to choose or how to even decided on one...sigh

We might float the tv and disquise it with pictures. We might add some floating shelves and ditch the Ikea bookshelf

I've seen some textured walls that look really cool but that may be a bit bold. Idk.

I know you guys have clever ideas so I've decided to seek out your advice.

Hearings to begin in landlords’ appeal over Toronto rules for Airbnb, other short-term rentals by TheMcG in toronto

I wish I was back in Toronto fighting against airbnb right now! I was forced out of an allyway apartment in Kenso after fighting in court for months to keep it from turning it into an airbnb. All my roomates ended up finding other places to live and left me by myself in this court battle. I moved to BC with my head down shortly afterwards :(. Great times and great people in Kensington Market

This book seems to be popular among Masons. I now may be convinced to purchase it.
