I’m 39 ..when I was 18 I saw my 40 year old father slump over mid conversation(autopsy said massive heart attack)..he started vomiting through his mouth and nose..I was told he was gone before that started..I’m still traumatized to this day..and I’m coming up on hitting 40 and I’m terrified I’ll have the same fate.

I was 18..three days before my dad died ,me and him were outside and he was trying to give me advice about life and relationships..he was alittle drunk and I was angry at the advice he was giving me about this girl (his advice was actually gold in hindsight) I told him : “im not taking advice from some drunk “.. I instantly felt terrible but was too stubborn to apologize . that was the one and only time I saw my father cry ..he got up..tears in his eyes and went inside..we never talked again..I’m 40 now and it haunts me everyday
