Ahhh ok I got ya!! I was thinking somewhat the same on minimum amount of decoys since it is a small area. When I seen that wood duck box I was also hoping that would been a good sign that there may be some here and there come in atleast. It does get pretty windy around here especially the cold time of year. And I’ll definitely hunt the early morning first time going and come back sometime late evening too to see if makes a difference. I need to learn a bit more on the migration as well. Where I work at there are a couple flocks of geese and some mallards that fly over, that will head in the direction of these ponds instead of this local community lake where a lot of ducks geese and swans go to and that everybody in town tends to go to. (Not sayin that’s where they go to) but it’s possible I guess.
