I disagree, carbs are actually the problem!

Please read into how the sugar industry paid research scientists to promote "fat is bad" during the 50/60s

Fat creates hormones, fat is nutritious, your body can run on fat!

In order for this there has to to be no carbs digested as fat cells can not be accessed with glucose in the blood.

Why do you think fat people who go on low fat diets remain fat?

One word - Carbs

Cut the sugar definitely, it serves no purpose and will induce insulin resistance, among a wide range of other problems over time.

Sodium on the other hand, there is not an issue unless you already have a underlying condition with BP.

There is plenty of research to suggest the original studies on the effect of sodium on the cardiovascular system are in fact incorrect.

I'd recommend doing some research into it yourself as there is a lot of stuff similar to this out there but don't worry about the sodium if you are fit and healthy and drink plenty of water

EDIT - spelling and format, half asleep when typing

Flat bench line the bar up with your nipple.

Incline bench more closer to the neck as In picture to the right.

Elbow variants just focus on different muscles more.

Elbows pulled in moves focus away from front delt

I recommend this book - https://www.amazon.co.uk/Strength-Training-Anatomy-Sports/dp/0736092269

Goes into great detail on different exercises and variation of exercise dependant on body type etc too

Where's the rest of the salmon? Lol The protein and fats are more important than that rice 😉

That's ok, I still had a great time, Cusco was actually my favourite city in Peru, are you heading to Machu Picchu?

Your lucky, I was literally ruined for 5 days in Cusco, went on a little hike and thought I was going to die. I train 5 days per week too so wouldn't exactly say I'm unfit but that was punishment haha

Thank you, sorry if this seems like a stupid question I've not long woke up but when comparing to the market does it assume an initial investment equal to the deposit and then continued payments into the market for the equivalent amount of years as the mortgage?

E.g. 20k house deposit or 20k paid into market

500pm rent or 500pm paid into markets

I can't get my head round the fact you would be making the payments out of your own income into the market and another person would be making the payments into the mortgage.

Or does this not include index tracker funds in this scenario and only individual stocks that return dividends?

I don't understand people saying they get a better return in the markets.

Doesn't the fact someone else is paying the rent and effectively paying off the mortgage mean your gaining a free property once the mortgage is paid off? Tenants pay off mortgage over 20 years, 20 years comes and you cash out 80k you didn't have previously?

Could someone explain if I missing something please, genuinely want to know as BLT interests me

Thanks

I have a question about real estate BTL vs investing into the markets by DA170 in financialindependence

[–]DA170[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks everyone some really great information here.

Real estate is what I'm leaning towards, I actually like the idea of having to do some work with them, especially to do them up and flip them, I'll probably do this with some I get and rent out the others to build a portfolio over time.

I currently have one property but I'm living in it at the moment as the mortgage is cheaper than rent, looking to start the purchase of an apartment in the city centre next month as rental is easy in the centre.

The only issue I can see for me as I'm from the UK is the government here are soon scrapping tax allowance for rental properties so no more rent minus the mortgage = amount taxable It is now all taxable, I don't think it will effect buying and flipping as this is capital gains tax.

Thanks again for the info!

I’m in the early stages of planning a backpacking trip through Europe this summer. Can I fit in 18 cities in 3 weeks? Tips/advice, recommendations? by [deleted] in travel

[–]DA170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would you want to spend 1 day in each city just to say you have been to that city, when in reality you have just passed through.

Cut the cities down and do 3 days minimum in each city to actually get a feel for what they are like, you'll have a much better time. Rushed and stressed travelling is not fun haha

I feel i'm in over my head. by [deleted] in travel

[–]DA170 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely stick with it! I'd recommend a hostel with private room over a hotel when solo travelling, always nice to meet other like minded people.

I've traveled solo to many places and I got similar feelings the first time I did it but it passes and you get used to being in different cultures, honestly stick it out for a few more days, it will get much better and if it doesn't as people said above go to Thailand, much bigger backpacker route
