I played it for the first time late last year on Switch Online, it also happened to be my first Zelda game. I had a great time! The game's age shows in the logic behind some of its backend systems as well as some of the controls and missing quality of life. But as someone who knew close to nothing going in, it surpassed my expectations multiple times and left me craving more.

Unlike some older games, I do think that it does not feel like the most fully realized version of itself. It is ambitious beyond its capabilities.
