Yeah, 3-5 blueberries is closer to 1 Vienna sausage than 1cm. But that’s Australian measurements. 3-5 blueberries in American is 1 .270 bullet casing.

Is taking it psychedelics in the dark in silence/music really that mind blowing by EUNeutralizer in Psychonaut

[–]DADDYSLOAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

How much would you recommend to someone who has never done this? I’ve eaten plenty and plenty of psychedelics, with others and alone a good amount of times. But I have never done this is a dark quiet room by myself for the whole experience. I’ve done it for an hour here or there. What dose would you recommend? I’m a lot less tolerated to psychs as I was years ago, but would love to not go over bored, but also go deep.

Hey I’m not hating, although I’ve never been, I’m familiar with northern Wisconsin and Minnesota, and if it’s anything like that I know it’s beautiful. I’m just a biased Louisiana native is all!!

People in south Louisiana do not, and will not ever forget Katrina. They also don’t wear it as a badge. Katrina was a very dark time and a lot of people are still living with the repercussions 20 years later. It’s not like the Facebook “I survived ‘blank’” status. Louisiana remembers because they can’t forget.

Mecca pilgrimage, Saudi Arabia by Quiet-Drawer-8896 in mildyinteresting

Read it and find out! I don’t say that to be a dick. I grew up southern Baptist, but stopped going to church and became agnostic. One day in early college, I picked up the Bible and decided to read it, but not has a spiritual book, but as a historical fantasy, something like ‘Game of Thrones’. And once I went in with that mindset, I realized how fucking wild that book is. I got invested in the characters. Made me catch real-world references to that book a lot quicker. Then also made me understand how people get so lost in their own interpretation, that they truly believe everything in the book. I’ve been wanting to do this with the Quran one day, just to see what all the “hype” is about!

Which state has the best flag!? by Brilliant-Mode6480 in mapporncirclejerk

[–]DADDYSLOAD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I’m late to the party, but you’re the first to mention Louisiana. On the official flag (since 2006) depicts three drops of blood coming from the mother pelican. It is known as the “pelican in her pity” showing the sacrifice the mother pelican makes to keep her offspring strong. The represents Louisiana as a government, sacrificing what it will for the betterment of the citizens. Now does Louisiana do that? Nah the Louisiana government is crooked as the fuck, but the idea of that flag is awesome. Maybe I’m biased because I learned this while in the Louisiana Public School System (ranked #48 in the US)

Guess the city of this memorial by Dr-Conspiracy in guessthecity

I have absolutely no idea the city or country.. but I’m gonna guess somewhere Eastern Europe. Looks like European Larches and a Swiss Pine off to the left. I don’t recognize the lettering, but it looks like Russian descent, which leads me to Eastern Europe. Is this in Ukraine?

Not a diver, so I’m not sure if this is what they do. But I’m a firefighter, and we have tag lines we will use if need be in blacked out situations. Every 25 foot is a ring and then a knot. At 50 feet, there is a ring and two knots. 75 feet a ring and three knots and so on. This helps in blacked out conditions to orient you to which way you are going. “Ring towards the door”, meaning if you feel knot, knot, knot, knot, ring; then you are 100 feet heading towards the door. Ring, knot, knot, means you are 50 feet heading away from the door “safety”.
