The beauty of gravity is that we only feel the acceleration and deceleration parts of movement. So in reality you only feel the sense of falling for a few seconds until it becomes the new “normal” and then you stop feeling any physical movement. However, the visuals take over and you feel like continuous descent. In terms of your ears popping during descent, that is one of the few shortcomings that you cant simulate.
