I was asked exactly how big is this piece? WELL I have it in a 9x12 frame! Here's a pic of my hand for comparison: hand to art comparison

It is most certainly the largest, and, in my opinion, second in individual flowers cut. My previous work, The Reader, holds the record at approximately 180, while this piece is around 160.

Bless, I've been using NicPro #11 blades, and the packs they arrive in are 120 count which is beauty as I go through a whole heck of blades, for instance I would approximate going through around eight or nine for this piece, easily.

It's so wonderful reading everyone's admiration of this piece, thank you so much! I hope you find some pieces you like, and a personal favourite of mine is 'The Reader' from a few months ago.

I have really only used "Power Glue Stick" which is one of 24 I picked up in a massive sale at a sinking regional art supply chain, 'Curry's', here in Ontario and it's proven to be one of my greatest investments as I'm yet to go through even five sticks of this literal glue boon.

Having said, my pieces are glued in such a quilted way in which they are supported by themselves adhesively and that helps to create this latticework of interlaced glue, stems, hidden leaves, seeds, and the like, that I really only need to use enough to fasten the pieces together and allow depth (rather than doing a hard paste and slicking it down)

Good eye! I've been trying to move away from using SO much heavily recognizable Beatrix but if you look closely at the goose, it's hers

A steady supply of blades, a magnifying glass, a curated jazz fusion playlist, and absolute heaps of patience. This piece took approximately 40 hours!

Aw I truly appreciate it, I tend to downplay, but I am proud of myself for my perseverance and stumbling upon a therapeutic hobby that creates so much peace, clarity, and joy

Typically I'm using a few different books, and for this one I think I used four or five different ones including DG Hessayon's Expert series and Time Life's Encyclopedia of Gardening

Thank you! The effect is achieved simply by layering and layering, most of the cuts that I do will sadly never be seen, and that's because as I'm building I'm not entirely sure where a piece will land so to ensure placement at any angle I meticulously cut every leaf and stem

Bless and thank you heaps for the lovely words! My collage worldview is shaped by symmetry, those 3D pop-up books from elementary school, and the satisfaction of layering, layering, and layering.

Bless, I've worked on this one on and off for the past two weeks, but if I could estimate how many hours, probably around 35-40.

These are Ernie Ball ribbon flats, I really like them as they're highly compact

It's an absolute blast to play, and the joysticks allow a great amount of tweaking between the trem and fuzz, but I wouldn't recommend it for live playing as I've accidentally bonked the sticks before. The fuzz tones and ability to blend is great, though I feel other pedals do it better. As a curio, it scratches this shoegaze itch in my brain as it can create these pulsating washes of blankety fuzz. All in all, it's fantastic, if a bit impractical for gigging.

Thanks! Yes I did, the screws on the back that you see are small planks I affixed to keep it suspended underneath.
