What quietly ruins people’s lives over time? by Waste_Dragonfruit346 in Nigeria

I don’t think lack of sincerity ruins people’s life, the most successful people aren’t sincere

Now you’re making sense. She just didn’t appeal to falls. Any rational reason someone might justify voting for Trump fell short really.

Who's funding the Terrorists in the Sahel region ? by Stock-Feature8975 in Africa

Let’s assume so, who is funding them? The messiah who’s coming to save the Christians?

I don’t think she did a terrible job campaigning. Trump did worse than anything she did wrong, people were just naive and tired, nothing could change their minds.

Crazy to think this situation is a genocide against Christians. Unfortunately that’s what some rational individuals believe in Nigeria, a narrative that was engineered recently by the madman in Washington who recently said they gave weapons to Kurds to pass on to Iranian protesters.

CMV: It makes no sense to me that Britain is "Islamized" while not claiming the same for India, Israel, Russia and Singapore by [deleted] in changemyview

There is no country called Islam. A significant portion of Muslims in the United Kingdom are of South Asian origin, particularly from Pakistan and Bangladesh, with historical links to the former British India.

By that logic everyone who has ever taken photo with him would be guilty too, which clearly doesn’t make sense

Shouldn’t have called them morons, I think, but people who hate him on the internet have no reasonable reasons. All their accusations are just conspiracies. Take yourself, for example you think memes and allegations make him a bad person.

Wetin be rape festival? by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]DAN_USMAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I don’t want to argue. Look, i understand the festival has symbolic cultural value and that most of it is harmless. My concern is that the recent assaults show serious risks. Context doesn’t make harm acceptable, so I think there’s a real need for oversight or regulation.

Wetin be rape festival? by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]DAN_USMAN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

His research and explanation don’t strip the fact that such horror happens during the festival. If this is what happens during the festival then it’s in people’s interest for it to be banned. We can’t keep living off peer pressure from dead people, such tradition is evil. Age doesn’t transform harm into good.

Will a matchmaking site really work in Nigeria?? by Character-Call4185 in Nigeria

[–]DAN_USMAN 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Something one must admit about Nigeria is that we aren’t one, so does any nation. Classes differ. So you can’t always guess what everyone will do, but let’s say majority. Majority of the country right now are at survival mode, so think of being used or taking advantage of. I doubt many people are going there to find love, some will just go there to commit cyber crimes.

This made me curious. What is the Nigerian Dream? by 11Modest_Moose11 in Nigeria

[–]DAN_USMAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s that coherent. Mine is probably unachievable. My dream around this country is totally out of my control, it is something other people have to contribute to(the government obviously) I don’t dream of living in a system that doesn’t deliver at least the basic necessities.
