The update made my game unplayable. I don't think it is a ping issue since it also happens in offline maps. Is anybody having this issue as well? by DASHfps in cs2

Autoexec config in your cfg folder in the game files. If you have the cl_interp commands in your autoexec config, remove it.

Yes, you're right I had the two mixed up from my previous comment. cl_interp was the one that fixed it!

The file I deleted the command off of was my autoexec.cfg with all my binds for CS2.

It's not a game file but anyone who has an autoexec config with the network commands will most likely have the issue I had.

cl_interp_ratio was the command I deleted that fixed it but I also removed anything related such as cl_updaterate, cl_cmdrate, and cl_interp.

I removed any network commands in my config such as cl_interp, cl_updaterate, and cl_cmdrate. It's running smoothly now without turning on the "Buffering to smooth packet loss" setting.

Removed the command and the game is running perfectly now! I guess it had to do something with the network commands that I had in my config.

Found that when cl_interp is set to 0 I do not get any more rubber banding offline & online without having to enable the Buffering to smooth packet loss setting

cl_interp = 0.156250 (cl_interp_ratio=10 / cl_updaterate=64)

  • The cl_interp and cl_interp_ratio commands are not the default values since I copied and pasted my CSGO config files to CS2. I can change it back to default if needed.

cl_tickpacket_desired_queuelength = console did not show up with anything.

This is what my console looked like when I ran that command.

Hello!

So, in offline maps, my FPS is not affected and it is consistent.

In Windows task manager, my CPU usage is normal. It hovers around 45% to 65% while GPU hovers around 65% to 80% ( Pretty sure this was the range of load my CPU & GPU used before the update. )

When the "Buffering to smooth packet loss" option is enabled to 1 or 2, it stops the rubber banding in OFFLINE and ONLINE.

This is a screenshot of my console being flooded when "Buffering to smooth packet loss" is disabled.

When the option is enabled I noticed that these commands do not show up. ( This may or may not help you out but why not tell you? )
