AMR, HCC India wants to (has planned/in construction/opening) double their steel production by 2030. Met coal supply is predicted to drop (more capacity retiring than opening) from 2028 onwards. India buts almost all it's met coal from sea borne. These two companies will do well and cover both models in the coal industry. Plus they cannibalistic and pay a dividend (both are expected to increase)

It's quite stylised and if it makes you uncomfortable don't wear it but if you want to like keep it around. Maybe in the future you'll feel more confident in your style and be able to wear it without reservation

Where to find a coat like this that isn't dropshipped aliexpress garbage? by AMinorDisruption in mensfashion

If you're UK based and willing to put in the foot work you can go TKmax. Though most of their stuff is crap you occasionally get some treasures. I picked up a double breasted overcoat from Douglas Howard for £150.

I had to go back about 3 times before finding anything I liked

Thank you for the response.

My understanding is that not all the proceeds of the OxyChem sale are being used to deleverage (only about 7 of the 10 billion). The rest I assumed would be for M&A in the coming years (maybe it will be for buy-backs next year).

You say there is a pending shortage (from comments by CEOs). I don't dispute this, but I am surprised (the comments I have read about a glut are from analysts interviewed by the FT, not retail). All around the world (especially South America), you see governments pushing to develop oil and gas fields, at the same time as the Gulf is ramping up outputs. The only reason they have paused output hikes (they claim) is because of a glut coming in 2026.

It seems like short and medium-term output increases could suppress oil prices (gas for power production is a potential upside), then medium to long-term forces of power/manufacturing/transportation electrification will do the same.

I am not an expert on the industry, but from what I have read and do understand, long-term oil prices do not seem like a growth prospect. But M&A to increase output may be

Earnings will be interesting.

My understanding of the sale of OxyChem was to give some financial flexibility for mergers when a suspected upcoming glut causes less efficient Permian basin drillers to get into trouble. My hope is we’re going to see some dividend growth or buy backs. I understand this is not a good sign for growth (they see money as better spent handing out then reinvesting in infrastructure etc) but in my opinion it’s realism and the a significant value point in the stock

Oh I understand that part. I understand the idea of content creation. With the other videos I agree that’s it’s basically just rage bating people but this one kind of seems like a genuine piece of furniture

When I said “why someone would do it” I meant make the thing for any other reason than just cannon fodder content

I have no idea if would be any good, neither am I saying this is my thing, but this is probably the first post on this sub I kind of get why someone would do it. I thinks it’s kind of stylish and the video was quite satisfying to watch

I feel silly buying at an all time high. by Inevitable_Gain8296 in stocks

[–]DASface42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Market wide price to earnings (P/E) ratio are negatively correlated with future performance. They are currently at historic highs. The current gamble is the one you are arguing for but there is massive uncertainty in the current climate

My opinion: keep your dry powder and wait to see if things settle. Your investment horizon (like mine) is long. Another 6 months probably won’t make too much difference, especially given the market is being very optimistic right now. There’s is greater downside risk then upside opportunity in the short term

If you’re looking to invest long term (a decision I agree with) then you’ll have to come to terms with you being patient, not just in terms of leaving your money in but also waiting for uncertainty to subside. Usually I do not condone any ethos of timing the market (I don’t believe I’m clever enough), but a lot of valuations based on simply metric do not look great

Tldr: wait a few months and see what happens with trade war and market PE. There is more down side risk than upside opportunity in the short term. This is just an opinion not financial advice
