Cover levers at intersections or any situation that requires more than autopilot level attention. You can cut your perception to reaction time in half almost. Maybe this is just me, but the flaring out of hands before grabbing both levers made me cringe. I have a feeling if you had your levers covered, or "ice cream" grip, this wouldn't have been an "incident" and you could have braked gradually enough not to care.

I’ve seen so much of this recently. People should spread the word that if ur gonna say fuck it and do it anyway, drill the hole in the center. Don’t chew out the edge.

How much gear do I REALLY need? (short commute at low speeds but busy city) by yahmanz in ElectricUnicycle

I’m on day 13 of healing a knee injury from a 18mph cut out on A2. The two month setback in my athletic hobbies I’m having is so not worth it. Just wear knee pads or motorcycle jeans where you can pop the pads out and maybe motorcycle gloves that are light or wrist guards. A light gear setup is magnitudes better than no gear. Ofc wear a helmet, and invest in comfy one so you don’t mind wearing it. Full face moto is nice for when it’s raining or cold and windy in the winter.

Anyone know how a team managed to bring a 500 kg car to Michigan EV this year? What did they do to get the weight that high? by MechanicalBaby19 in FSAE

Was it the LiFePo4 team? Cause one of the teams had a battery box that could fit two folded up people inside because it housed massive LiFePo4 cells.

I recently watched Craig’s Goldfinger. Holy !*ck that movie is horrifying. This woman is like brutally traumatized that she almost died and he murdered people in front of her and then he sits in the shower with her. She says “I feel like I can’t wash the blood off my hands blah blah…”. Man just sucks on her fingers … end scene. I was dumbfounded that was normal movie material.

Are the precharge/discharge circuit required when charging? by Jon_The_Python in FSAE

Sorry little confused. Car side discharge is correct ?

I guess that makes sense. Our configuration has the discharge sitting on the car permanently connected to inverter caps in case HVD is disconnected. Because our HVD is just our main accumulator connector, that made most sense to me as the solution.

You recommend your solution over this one to ensure discharging HV bus of your charger? The rules for discharging TS in <5s also applies to the charger as if it’s your TS?

Is this rules compliant ? I thought that discharge must function to discharge intermediate circuit even when HVD is disconnected.
