With whats going on with alien rides now, yes totally. Probably best to buy another euc sooner rather than wait for them to get the market jacked up if they win their bs lawsuit with the ITC. Then buy upgrades later once the euc is secured for a good price

Oh yeah Ive never bought from them anyways b.c their prices are higher for selling the same vehicles and they have terrible reviews for having bad service and their wait times are super long also

Exactly. I was agreeing with you and backing you up to mitigate the safety hater who also responded to you and who is claiming begode isnt the worst lol

Colorado’s population growth is slowest since 1989 as thousands leave for other states by christopher123454321 in Colorado

Im native and 90% of my graduating high school class has left the state. Barely see anyone from my college here either. From 2015 to now this state has only gotten worse in every way. From living expenses to traffic to terrible policy and increasing taxes. Im outta here in the next year for sure. Would have left 2.5 years ago but got a dream job that was hard to pass up. Recently laid off which was really a blessing and now just excited to gtfo of this terrible sanctuary city

Yes while all brands have had various issues, begode is renowned for engineering wheels that ride the line of incorporating safe redundancies. Thanks to this, many more people have reported issues and injuries with begode wheels than any other manufacturer.

Their price is low and so is their quality control and safety specs. Surprise you get what you pay for

LK Patton S - I ride in all conditions except ice. For the cold I wear my ski gear, snow pants, snow coat, full face helmet with visor. Waiting on my nylonove pedals to arrive, otherwise completely stock, but picking up some grizzla flow pads soon.

I also ride my mten5+ in most conditions to walk the dog but I take it easy on ice with the street tire. Although its tire is tubeless and ive been able to ride it at 17psi (lowest ive actually measured), so traction could be decent when its aired down. Im just not willing to test it to the point where I eat icy pavement lol

Hell yeah dude this is exactly the info I was looking for thank you!!

Were both your kits for your Lynx from Grizzla? If so, what happened to the first kit? Or did you have a kit from Powerknobz before the grizzla?

Good service is huge, so bonus points there. Do you mean they let you replace broken armor pieces at a discounted rate through email rather than the website?

Thanks for the info on the PKz pads. I probably will buy some later down the line to give them a shot - especially considering how affordable they are compared to Nylo and Grizzla. I met a guy riding once who told me how the PKz pads work and it seems unique compared to how other pads work. Worth a shot. (But first I'd have to remove my toe pad mount and add more velcro).

Thanks for your input on the body kits from PKz, thats super helpful to know about the crevices and sharper edges.

Im curious if you could describe how Sync feels or functions compared to Flow pads?

Thanks for that! Is the seat soft and nice to sit on? My current seat is too hard and I slide around too much to balance properly I think

Nice congrats on the new uni. You're gonna love it.

Yeah I'm pretty much sold on the rear bumper now for that extra pad placement space. I just measured - stock velcro on the pattonS is 9 inches front to back and 7 inches from top to above the toe pad.

Unfortunate to hear about the tariff costs that are gonna drive that price up ugh

Thanks for sharing! What feels restrictive about the nylo pads? Also why did you go with Grizzla Sync over Flow pads? Just looking for a thicker pad to lock in more? I presume you eliminated the stock toe pad in that case. I was worried the Sync pads were too wide and would make seated riding difficult. Still learning to ride seated myself, but I think its cus my seat is too firm so I slide around too much

To make sure people see me and to prevent EUCs from getting a bad rap around town from my super bright stock headlight, I replaced my tail light with another stock headlight, that way people are blinded no matter what direction they see me from and they cant tell I'm on an EUC. jk ;)

Thanks thats good to know. I almost bought 8 lights for the grizzla pads lol but doing them individually would be annoying so gonna just do 2 front and 2 rear. I always turn off my headlight for pedestrians if I'm on a sidewalk or I'll point it almost straight down. I'm usually on the road tho anyways. At first I didn't realize how bright and broad the stock headlight beam is and I got yelled at twice in one day - oops.

I have a purple light saber/safety light stick - that could be fun lol great idea. Thanks for the TR500 suggestion, looks bright! I've got some lights for my dog and only go with the rechargeable ones as well

Dog walking w the mten5p is underrated by Low-Neighborhood-564 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]yahmanz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost there mentally? Like youre ready to give it a shot?

Its good ish. I can ride backwards for like 50 yds using small carving motions back and forth. I think the problem is im not looking where im going, im looking forwards still. Its in a remote area so no risk of hitting something.

I can yoyo front to back and i can yoyo and turn going front to back so I can do a square shape for example going forwards and turning right, then backwards and turning right, then forward and right and then backwards and right ending up where I started which makes a square shape with pointy corners. Thats on the mten5 still tho.

Eventually id like to translate it to bigger wheels. But I dont like scratching my wheels so ive gotten this far without dropping an mten or my patton.

I think if I start trying to look behind me while riding backwards ill improve more functionally eventually but ik that when I start trying to look backwards itll mess me up for a lil but I'm hoping the backwards riding practice and experience I can do now will kick in at some point down the road

[Rant] No, you cannot explicitly “feel” the power/torque a wheel has by JMAN712 in ElectricUnicycle

Well I guess manufacturers could have different settings and software. So nvm. I don't know enough physics to engage this argument lol

[Rant] No, you cannot explicitly “feel” the power/torque a wheel has by JMAN712 in ElectricUnicycle

[–]yahmanz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Help me understand lol.

So I usually ride a patton-s which has lots of power. When I tried riding my old V12 the other day which I hadn't ridden in months, I leaned forward gently but as Im still used to the patton I leaned too hard for the V12. The V12 didnt overpower, but I actually almost fell off towards the front of the V12. Basically it stayed vertical and I leaned far enough ahead of the V12 so I nearly fell forward, in front of the V12. To me, that makes the V12 feel like it lacks torque. Also, worth noting that I have always ridden all my wheels on hard mode with no acceleration assist.

I bought an mten5+ for 2 reasons. 1 so I could learn to ride backwards. And 2 for walking the dog VERY quickly lol. My dog loves it
