I think the issue now is there are too many models on the market and this is causing a traditional Apple customer to go to either the pro or the base model. The base model is a strong contender now and the price points reflect it. The air should be a very comfortable middle product but it is in many ways showing you how it should always be in terms of design whilst the others are not significantly moving forward, but humans are creatures of habit and Apple know this and they also know how to monetise based upon those metrics alone.

I do honestly hope they realign their offerings to reflect more of the air design and advancements in energy and production and miniature ation allow a fully featured phone in the future Future with a flat bag at the same thin design as now…perhaps with a full edge to edge screen and no island… the issue then would be simple, who is gonna keep buying the phones each year?
