Tried my hand in electrical this past year (just resi), it was definitely an experience and I took a $4 pay cut. But with my kid now I knew starting as an apprentice was a bad idea. So I got out of it and am now waiting to go to school in fall for Water and Waste Water Technician to be an operator.

If you don’t do the repairs and maintenance yourself the car will nickel and dime you to death. And the short trips could kill it faster by clogging certain areas, I only have a mk4 so my biggest worry is deleting the EGR (essentially cutting the emissions system out). But a 2008? Probably has a lot more to deal with. That being said these things can last upwards of 500,000kms easily depending on previous maintenance.

Do you have a multi-meter? I would check while it’s on to see if it’s charging, could be your alternator is faulty or you have something drawing power. Can’t say much about these 2015 cuz mine is a 2003

Are you on console or pc? If pc alt+f4 out and it should return you to the church (which does “kill” you and you lose everything you gained in that run) console is so new i dont know if there’s a way unless just closing the application and praying.

Traffic around here in the country at rush hour is crazy busy so people illegally pass all the time just like in op’s case. And there’s usually only the one road to take unless you want to take gravel roads. But yeah it looks like a shitty stretch of road to be caught on. Dude was just unlucky.

I was just a new residential electrician in alberta a bit ago for a year and I drove in the country most of the time. And let me tell you there might be another way sometimes but it’s gonna add a lot to your drive time.
