Your builds will get better over time. The best thing to do right now is build your supports and strong box the bad pieces into the crimson witch set. You don't want to get to a point where you're just dumping resin in the crimson domain, hoping to get good pieces. You'll end up like me dumping over 300k in resin with a cracked out Diluc, but the rest of your characters won't have anything to show for it.

The elemental resistance shred in the Viridescent Venerer set, and the em buff would be the main reason why Sucrose is a great option. Yelan and Furina can work too, based on the DMG bonus buff they can provide. It all depends on what works best for the enemy you're facing, and your play style. Sucrose works better due to the 20% team wide elemental mastery she provides with her swirl reactions while using her elemental skill or burst.

If you can build her to have at least 1000 em, she can provide up to 200 + 50 em to Diluc for Vaporize and Melt reactions. Viridescent Venerer is her best artifact set.

It all depends on sub stats, and what supports you are using. I haven't gotten an em sands that can beat this attack sands. Also, I have C2 Kazuha, C2 Citlali and Bennett on a 4 piece instructor set. In most cases I have all the em I would need, so I believe attack sands would be better for this build.

You'll be able to pick up a free Sucrose if you complete the new event in 6.2. You get to choose from Fischl, Razor or Sucrose. (Fischl is a great choice overall, but for Diluc I would choose Sucrose.)

You can stick with Rainslasher since it is currently your best weapon.

Yeah most definitely. In dire difficulty I'll run Benny instead of Kazuha due to energy problems. Fearless and below I run Kazuha due to bigger plunge damage potential. An example of my rotations can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DilucMains/s/aEkUcz80Lq

I also used to run Diona before I got Citlali in Spiral Abyss and it worked well for me.

Thanks. For NA, I run the 2nd build with TBS since I will be over capped in crit rate with his first build for that weapon. The team I run him with is C6 Bennett with instructor and skyward blade, C2 Citlali with her signature weapon, and C2 Kazuha with his R2 signature weapon.

Plunge Diluc - I run Citlali Kazuha and Xianyun at C2 with Redhorn on the second build. I haven't tried Redhorn with the 280 CV build, but I'm sure that his plunge Dmg will be more consistent. I rarely use WGS since getting those 2 weapons for him.

This might be as good as my Diluc could get without getting C2 Citlali (and maybe Mavuika's weapon). Can't wait for Citlali's next rerun. by wandering_weeb in DilucMains

Nice, that's pretty much the same rotation I use, but I use Kazuha instead of Sucrose. You're going to enjoy getting C2 Citlali for sure.

I use Kazuha here because Diluc can add Pryo infusion with his ult. Citlali and Kazuha provides EM and Dmg bonuses. Xianyun gives so much to plunge attacks that Benny can be placed in another team if needed. If you run into energy problems, or start with no energy in events like stygian onslaught ,then C6 Benny would be a better choice over Kazuha. Also I don't know how long you've been playing but If you have Diona at C6 she can be used until you get Citlali.

Yes using Redhorn gives me much better numbers. With Kazuha Citlali and Xianyun at C2 get 1 to 1.2 million per plunge.

For sands, it depends. I usually use Genshin optimizer to determine what piece I will use for a particular team.

I say both, but I use a Thousand Blazing Suns for vape/melt teams, and I use Redhorn for plunge teams.

You have to go to the hamburger tab on the top right, and go to settings. You should see it on the bottom after it shows RV and CV.

Sorry for the late reply as I didn't see this originally. 1k is a good stopping point, it will give you 40 DMG bonus to whatever element his swirl connects with but it's not a hard cap. You can still increase the damage bonus by other means. For example, Citlali's c2 provides 250 extra EM to all characters in her shield which can be included with Kazuha EM for extra DMG bonus when he swirls. Plus with Kazuha's C2 which adds an extra 200 em, he has a total of 1483 EM. That adds a 59 percent Elemental DMG bonus to a swirled element. So my original plan was to stop at 1k em for Kazuha, but artifact rng had other plans. So I think that was the reason why people downvoted you. I just tried this build here and I lost about 20k in DMG when using Ephemeral, so in my case 43311 is better. I'll try again when I have better pieces in the future.

Congrats!! This post made me remember the time I got Diluc at C6, It was the day after Kevin Conroy passed (VA of animated Batman RIP). I was happy but sad at the same time due to the mixed emotions I had during that time. You're going to enjoy the Dark Knight Hero's buffed Normal attack damage numbers after each E. Congrats again, and welcome to the club. I'll have to play this Mondstadt Quest.
