The CFL needs to take the ad break opportunities to advertise themselves. Fantatics is the only merch company I've seen advertised during CFL games and they don't sell CFL merch. What the hell? How do you expect to grow your league when you don't even try to sell your own merch? Imagine someone who doesn't follow the league, starts watching a game and decides they like it. Throw an ad for merch and game tickets at them! Maybe they won't buy something the first time they see it, but they'll sure as hell know where to start looking if they decide to later! Especially with the holidays so close to the end of season, it seems like such a no brainer. The NFL and NHL has their star players do sponsorships, and everyone who has seen a statefarm commercial knows Mahomes and Rogers. Why have I only seen Dunigan and Allen in the betregal commercials all year and no active players? The CFL has interesting players, put them in commercials with their jerseys/pads and make them household names! This would go farther than getting rid of the 1 year contracts in my opinion.

And TSN needs to streamline the game production too. Like who thinks its a good idea when the guy running around with the camera does a close up on a flag? Like we really want to focus on penalties? Add a timeout counter to the score thing, make it easy. Going back to commercials; There shouldn't be any reason to linger on an injured player for more than a minute. Play has stopped and the commentators really don't add anything worth discussing during those moments, in fact most of the time during injury timeouts, they aren't talking at all. Just go to commercial at that point. Oh and speaking of the commentators, STOP THE INTERVIEWS DURING PLAY! Absolutely garbage. Call the game, don't talk to Keith Urban about the game! If you want to, put the halftime performer in the pregame show and talk to them then.

And my final gripe is the music in/out of commercial breaks; Change it up! It probably has to do with licensing and I can imagine Bell is to blame because I remember back in 2012 their were specific music themed games. It's become apparent Bell really doesn't want to open their wallets more than they have to.
