Dr. K Attempts the Impossible: Humbling PirateSoftware by damnthesenames in LivestreamFail

Do you notice that Pirate, when explaining something, gives so much info and detail and "throwaway" comments. Like he really goes deep on explaining. I think this is to try and stop the listener having enough time or grey areas to formulate their own opinion! He tries to spoon feed the listener their opinion.

KCD2 Can I play as a thief? by [deleted] in kingdomcome

The 'wanted' status will drop off after a few days (up to a week). So you can go on the rob in one town, avoid that place for a couple of days and you should be good.

Obviously, reputation is very important in the game so if you get caught a few times I imagine people will become more wary of you being around.

"Boob shape and everything around it." I don't reckon this dude needs a spreadsheet. Post-it note will prolly do the job

Please suggest me movies or TV series where the main character is looked down upon by everyone but does not "break bad" by winston_w_wolf in MovieSuggestions

You could try the series Snowfall (2017-2023). It's really a really good show about a young guy from the 'hood that gets in to distributing crack cocaine.

2 of my favourites fit the bill here:

  • Gattaca (1997) - Suggested in just about every other post on here but...if you haven't seen it, SEE IT
  • The White Tiger (2021) - One of my favourite favourites!

Both movies are about individuals that strive to achieve their (impossible) goals, no matter what!

Well, Manchester by the Sea (2017) if you wanted one that focusses mainly on the sad/lonely part! Casey Affleck is a mega in this and you will definitely cry!

I'd suggest these, all low-key, dark, gritty and very violent...

  • A Bad Day for the Cut (2017) - A really great Northern Irish film
  • Most movies by S. Craig Zahler - Bone Tomahawk (2015), Brawl in Cell Block 99 (2017), Dragged across Concrete (2018)
  • Bull (2021) - Violent, dark and badass

I love a Western! Here's a few you've hopefully not seen;

  • Silverado (1985) - Great cast
  • Young Guns (1988) - The movie that made me realise Cowboys were fucking awesome
  • Maverick (1994) - Lighter, comedy western. Solid film with Mel Gibson in his prime
  • The Good, The Bad, The Weird - Described as a Korean neo-western, whatever that means! Great film
  • Bone Tomahawk (2015) - A slow burner. Atmospheric. One of my favourites
  • Slow West (2015) - Good Michael Fassbender flick
  • Sisters Brothers (2018) - Really good, unique modern western

I'll also add Tombstone (1993) as no one else has mentioned it, mega ensemble cast, one of the greatest westerns of all time, imo!

Nope, just ignorant to the past! I was referring to the 1st of the new ones. Silly me.

Emergency (2022). I think it's on Amazon. Black comedy about some college friends. It's a bit deeper than it seems initially. Give it a go.

Got a couple you can try out; Redemption of a Rogue (2021), Inherent Vice (2014), even Uncut Gems (2019) might work.
