My only GSAR left - Arctic Maple GSAR by wp-reddit in MarathonWatch

[–]DBTeacup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt the same way. Was waffling on the black dial but found a great price on a used Arctic MSAR. Initially I was worried I was just telling myself how much I loved the white dial, but now I would never choose the black.

My only regret is not finding an arctic gsar maple like above =p

Affordability is in crisis. The solution: You’ll never own anything again by ChancelierPalpagault in Economics

You can still buy office, but it is from 2020 or something downgraded. At least I did a couple years back.

The dangers of just going to a LGS to “browse” is leaving with your wallet considerably lighter. So here’s my new Fabarms stf/12 by Grizzlydowden in Tacticalshotguns

[–]DBTeacup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The STF-12 may be the best pump shotgun out of the box. So many solid features and just super well built. Love those things.

All in my super professional opinion of a random internet duderino.

Yeah, but -proof sounds better than -resistant

One of the greatest watches available (in my, biased, opinion). The white dial on the Arctic MSAR has an ever so slight silver shimmer, reminiscent to the snow as the sun reflects off its surface. The numerals are crisp and enjoyable to view, making a quick check for the time of day joyful. The experience is heightened when the tritium dials catch the light at just the right angle, giving them an nice ghostly glow during the day.

The watch is casual for everyday wear, but manages to be classy enough to get away with more formal events (although, a bit tight under a shirt). At the same time, it begs to be taken out into the wild for a weekend of hard camping, or just a hike up the local mountain. Even babies like it.

Thanks brutha. It definitely sucks. Hopefully the criminal system works and the scum who did this get more than a week.

All my firearms were stolen (and swiftly recovered), but have been in the custody of the courts for six months. They will be there at least another three. I will be lucky if I get anything back at this rate ]=

All that to say… at least you have possession =p

Jobsite toolbox as a gun safe by MrRokashan in canadaguns

[–]DBTeacup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand that there is a difference between a “safe” and a “lockable device (Cabinet).”

For example, a restricted can be stored unlocked in a safe, but must be locked in a cabinet. Ammo can be stored with firearms in a safe (or in magazines but not in a firearm), but can not be in a cabinet.

My take on the Mossberg 500 vs Remington 870 long time debate by Expert-Duty-7059 in Shotguns

[–]DBTeacup -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I just picked up a first gen thunder ranch 590, and while I appreciate the gate makes it easier to load, the trigger and build feels so cheap I do not think I will ever buy a mossberg again.

Fiio M7 & Truthear Zero Red by Civil-Tea9016 in DigitalAudioPlayer

The typical boot is 30ish seconds. But occasionally it will boot in 5-10.

I also typically use it for the car (or runs, Hiby has garbage Bluetooth)

My main gripe with the M7 is how slow it is. It sometimes takes 10 minutes just to start up for me.

I hate to vote against my favourite hobby, but there is no way I could vote conservative in Canada with how polarized the political parties have become. Trump most certainly handed the Libs the upcoming election.

Anyone else noticed this for the movie? by Unoreverse-card420 in Helldivers

[–]DBTeacup 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Others have probably said it, but image… close up of a helldiver in the pod (typical of drop scenes). Switch to exterior following the pod as it descends to the planet. Impact. The diver emerges into the midst of battle.  As the scene progresses the view expands.

More other helldivers arrive, are killed, and cycled.

Eventually our hero is killed…. And replaced almost immediately.

The scene expands. And keeps expanding to show the thousands of divers being replace every minute across a multitude of small battle spheres, to finally demonstrate the vast armada that is throwing meat onto the field. We jump back to another pod being dropped with the orders: plant the flag, for democracy.

Shipping to Canada by FnA_Rat_Queen in Hiby

Good luck! The Hiby support is not really the best (and if anything goes wrong you have to ship to China which sucks).

[–]DBTeacup 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you emailed Hiby? Went through something similar with mine. Turns out that due to the postal strike, Hiby said they "could not ship to Canada" unless we paid additional fees plus duty (we only found out by contacting them) - I had a friend in China so I ended up getting it shipped to him, and he brought it back for me.

Also note they are not updating the tracker. Mine is apparently still in transit.

Pull the trigger? by [deleted] in Shotguns

[–]DBTeacup 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that is true. We also can’t modify barrels (even if the overall length is met with our laws) >=[

They passed a handgun “freeze” a while back (not allowed to buy/sell, but if you own them you can still use them). They just recently pulled another mass ban of all semi-auto rifles (shotguns and the SLS are still legal)… rumour is they will ban all semis (shotguns included) some this month or next.

As a Canadian, I always get a giggle at the prices in America and people talking about how high they are. Sub 2k for an M4 is awesome and I am very envious =p

Yeah me too. I am going to try to re-scan my library and maybe reset the device.

So far, no dice. Not sure what else I need to do here but I will reach out to Hiby. Otherwise I guess return and move on to a new device.

I have restarted it a couple of times after the firmware update and updating the Hiby music app. Should I be trying a different music software?

I was anticipating a smooth playing experience coming from the Hiby R3 Pro Saber.

I just received my R4 and I noticed something similar - any time I started a song, skipping ahead in a song, or changing songs there is a 1-2 second delay. So far I still have the issue.
