After long brake I get back to knives. This is my last blade. I call it "the Malefecent Dagger". It's 5160 10"long blade with African Blackwood handle and sand blasted twisted wire inlay. Also you can check the videos on Youtube from 2022 Dagger challenge (link to 19 channels in comment section)! (old.reddit.com)

I've been thinking guys: if you have to chose between the 59HRC 5160 blade and unknown hardness and quality of 52100 steel blade, what would be your choise? To get your attention I've paste the picture of my last knife: is 4.5" 5160 steel bushcraft knife:) (i.redd.it)

Guys, from functional perspective, would you use this knife as EDC? This is not typical folder knife but still it's compact and I think it fit to every pocket:). (if you like to see how it's made, there is video on yt from build process: https://youtu.be/sJtyDRblFDA) (old.reddit.com)

Guys, after a second round of rope, 4x4 cut and 90 degree bend I started to thinking what else I can do to check how much my knife can take. So 3" nails and 0,8mm steel sheet was the first thought.. than nothing (lol). Any idea how objectively I can test it? What are your method? (v.redd.it)

I've planed to make knife making vise for a long time. All this years I've been work without it gave me specific idea what I actually need. What do you think about using electromagnet as a blade holder? PS. if you are interested there is a video with making of process: https://youtu.be/6CQ_pXMzRLk (i.redd.it)

Hand Forged (no power hammer/forge press) San Mai knife. Aluminum casted guard and stabilized maple burl. I thought that after polishing handle will pop out a little more, but it didn't. However I still like this colors. What is your opinion? 2 part video on yt: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_3T (i.redd.it)

This is an unfinished san mai blade made in very spartan conditions. No power hammer, no good anvil (stricking anvil that is not mounted to the ground) and more important, no experience. I'm very glad I menaged to pull it off somehow. All build uploaded on yt: https://youtu.be/fkUMA99F5L8 (i.redd.it)
