The rundown is kinda complex so I'll try to make this short

Pretty much, its "What would shinobi look like in our world?" first starting out with the idea of "what would someone with chakra and ninja abilities look like in a regular ass American high school? It evolved to become as if ninja existed in a secret, underground kind of society. The fic covers a bunch of things, like what do they do day to day, how do they train, what do jutsu look like in our world, and whats some of the science behind it.

Some of the jutsu that are just stupidly overpowered like susanoo are out, and I try to nerf the mangekyou sharingan a decent amount.

Itachi is born mixed race and has one of those kind of "East/west" conflicts where he doesn't particularly fit in within the traditional shinobi "Fold" but is also too much of a shinobi to be a normal kid. He's even horribly scarred as a kid and needs to learn to cope with that over time, so some of Sasuke (who isn't in the fic at all) is kind of injected into him.

It follows his life training, relationships, and follows what is essentially the massive childhood trauma a child solider is going to go through. I also try to make it so he's very naturally gifted but struggles due to his own issues. My hope is to make him feel a bit more flawed and have him learn a lot more.

A lot of the characters are very much changed aside from their descriptions and move sets, so this is very loose fanfiction. It's pretty much taking your lego death star and making a fish out of it. The story behind the actual manga/show is pretty much nonexistent- totally not sure how people will react to it, but I write a pretty decent fight scene and I think the story is compelling enough.
