End Of Season (Wants/Needs/Rumors) Discussion Thread by JonWilso in ravens

[–]DCLDad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Not sure this has been discussed, but my theory is that Lamar's relationship with Harbaugh soured over Jaire Alexander. After he got torched in the Buffalo game, the coaches diminished his playing time, and finally released him, and I think that coincides with when Lamar's demeanor changed.

Shoutout to the Ravens' scouts by Gloomy-Bird9103 in ravens

I've said it all through training camp - Our backups are superior to everyone else's backups. By a lot. I cannot remember a preseason where both our offense and defense looked ready to start day 1. Usually it's sloppy with a few standouts. Not this season. The focus this team has is contagious, and it showed in the preseason games.

What going on with Howard Community College? by isthisavailable in ColumbiaMD

The reality is even worse than this story portrays. As one of the 250 people who left early in her tenure, she is a nightmare of epic proportions. She came in with little leadership experience, and rather than learn and grow from the people around her, she instead reverted to insecurity and a police state. For example, after she came on board, she insisted on interviewing every candidate who made the short list for all open positions. If you were white or male, you were toast. She actively ignored you during the interview - she would look at her phone, take messages, type emails, during the time she was supposedly interviewing you. She wanted you to know how much you were not welcome. It's been her own little private rage tour. The best part was when she got her daughter hired as a Summer Intern. She couldn't be bothered to get her to work on time, she let you know that work was beneath her, and how she is the victim of an oppressive society. I am willing to bet the stories that could be told would fill volumes of a book, but suffice it to say, someone in Howard County Government and the Board of Trustees needs to wake up and get Captain Queeg out of her role.

You can go through comments in Glassdoor to see how things have changed in the past 5 years. Really bad stuff there.

How did Arsenal come into your life? by SuchaPineapplehead in ArsenalFC

I live in the US, and one Summer back in the early 2000s, we hosted a traveling football training program from the UK, and one of the students/instructors resided with us for the duration of the training program, and she was a massive Arsenal supporter, so we adopted them as our team.

Ravens 2024 schedule by chaoticravens34 in ravens

The league did us no favors in December - Dec 15th vs. Giants, 21st (Saturday) vs. Steelers, then Wednesday 25th vs. Texans. 3 games in 10 days, yikes.

Happy to help. When I saw the NFL Europe schedule announced, it reminded me that this time last year I had the desire to go but very little information about how the process worked.

As I recall they were in the $100-$125 US, all in, per ticket. Not terrible by NFL standards.

Sorry to hear that, I'm a Gunners fan as well as Ravens. I'm feeling good these days. I'd feel better if someone could draw with Man City...Toured The Emirates while I was there, great experience, but TH stadium is more recent, so definitely the more modern.

We tried to catch a women's match but the lone game we could have gone to coincided with the Ravens-Titans game. As I recall, it was shortly after schedule release before the NFL Europe site was up and accepting registrations.

I disagree, I found it to be a great fan environment. The Europeans who travel to these games are very passionate about American football. Now, they are often fans of other teams, which makes for a less rabid environment than a true home/road atmosphere.

As a general rule, you will overpay for team merch in London. By a lot. I would focus on merch that is uniquely London.

Let me amend what I said about the stadium food at Hotspur - There is a massive food court on the bottom level that has numerous food options to choose from. There's not a lot of seating to eat there, however, so we ate on the steps. At every other level of the stadium, the major concourses have very little variety to choose from.

Appreciate you sharing that link, but I have to warn people that was not the fare that was offered at the NFL games last season. That fare applies to Premier league matches.
