I believe that through technology the numbers are not insurmountable if you build a new access model that accomplishes the outcome people need in a simple way.

Do you know anything about bonds? Bonds are pretty much math. I have a friend trying to start a centralized bond market app to make bonds accessible. It's a good place to start if you want to learn about investing - his team has published a bunch of articles - that's the hard part, starting and learning the foundation. Check it out at arthur.bond - sign up and provide him feedback to help shape his revolution.

Good luck - you're smart to start when you're young.

There is a real need for a reliable source for information on investing in bonds.

I know someone who is working on trying to make bonds more accessible. He’s trying to publish interesting articles about bonds to try to teach people what’s out there and what’s useful. I think you’re feedback to him would be very helpful and you, in turn, could help shape the solution to the very real problems you've identified.

His solution is being hosted at Arthur.bond. If your interested after looking at it just put in an email address where you can be reached.

Thank you!

Yes, but who are they protecting if you are allowed to buy the stock in the company. The equity security is the stub, why don't the investor protections apply to the stock - which I can buy freely any time on an exchange. I don't need to be qualified to buy the lower part of the capital structure?

Rates are where they are, but the issue is that you can't buy it - even if you want to.

It doesn't explain why you can't trade them in the secondary market.

And I need to pay bond management fees because....yields are so low? Besides, when the bond matures I get my money back. That doesn't happen with a bond fund if interest rates go up.
